For what feels like the fiftieth time, I am kicking the dust off this thing. Why, you might ask? Well, for as long as I can remember, I have always wanted a forum to share my love of music. The personal connection to a song or artist. The way certain songs flow seamlessly from each other and how everything in life can be made better with a soundtrack. I’ve always wanted to keep that alive. That, and I get charged annually to keep this domain alive, so I’m a little pot-committed at this point.

Now if you’ll excuse the Seth Rollins reference posted above, this site, as well as my own life has been in a sort of imbalance over the last couple of years. It’s not an attempt to garner sympathy from you, dear reader. When things feel out of whack, my focus follows the path of least resistance. Hopefully with a new coat of paint by way of a digital template, it can help reclaim my love of doing this. With a bit of determination, practice, and limiting my distractions, I can get this little ol’ site into the spotlight it deserves.

So how do I go about that? Instead of trying to accomplish everything I felt I had to listen to and write about, I want to take a more focused approach. I could certainly try to review as much music as possible again. I’ve tried and struggled to write the same praises over and over again to albums that I love (and some that I didn’t… shh). Plus, is that what I want this to be, just strictly album reviews? Not really. I want this space to be a place where I discuss my thoughts on music while sharing things I find worthy of sharing. Without feeling tethered to writing reviews in length, why not celebrate what’s new (to me) and worth your listening ears? I mean, I’ll also write reviews, but it’ll be far less frequent than before.

What can you expect from this latest version of this site?

Thoughts on music, whether ripped from the headlines or personal stories from my past about how music has shaped me into the listener I am today. Album suggestions based on what I’ve been getting myself into. Some classic album reviews with a heavy focus on the pivotal albums from my youth. Revisiting these album should be fun for me, and I hope that will come across to you.

What about a podcast? Doubtful.

Have you thought about YouTube? Hellthany Notano.

I have a face and voice built for the written word. And even that is iffy.
